INTRODUCTION
The HS-100C is a highly-integrated, crystal-free USB audio single chip solution optimized typically for USB headset, headphone, and dongle (wireless adapter enabled) applications. All necessary analog and digital modules were embedded in the HS-100C, including stereo DAC and earphone driver; mono ADC; microphone pre-amp booster; PLL; regulator; and USB transceiver. Many features of the HS-100C are programmable with jumper pins or external EEPROM. Customers can customize unique USB VID / PID / Product String / Manufacture String and Max / Min / Initial volume settings via an external EEPROM. In addition, the HS-100C supports HID compliant volume control pins such as Playback Mute, Volume Up/Down and a Recording Mute pin which interacts with the Playback Operation LED and Recording Mute LED control pins. The HS-100C also comes with an anti-pop noise circuits design and internal oscillator which can operate without an external crystal oscillator.

Architecture
- USB Suspend/Resume mode and remote wakeup with volume control
- On-Chip oscillator that provides reference sources for PLL and embedded USB transceiver
- Anti-Pop noise design for device plugged and vice-versa, while A-A path (side tone) is off
- One Control endpoint, Isochronous-Out endpoint, Isochronous-In endpoint, and Interrupt-In endpoint
- HID Hot-Key of Volume Up, Volume Down, Playback Mute and Recording Mute
- Recording Mute pin with a LED indicator of recording mute status
- External EEPROM interface using SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) for vendor specific USB VID / PID / Product String / Manufacture String / Serial Number and Min / Max / Initial volume settings
- USB Bus-Power mode with High-power (500mA) and Low-power (100mA, default) mode options by external selection pin
- Embedded 5V to 3.6V / 3.3V / 1.8 V regulators for single external 5V power

- 2-channel DAC outputs with 16-bit resolution and 48KHz, 44.1KHz sampling rate
- 1-channel ADC input with 16-bit resolution and 48KHz, 44.1KHz sampling rate
- Support Mono Mic input with independent voltage bias pins and analog mixer (side tone) function
- Support DAC DC offset cancellation
- Configurable USB audio topology to select Headset / Speaker mode
